Joey Fare: There are several explanations. First, France 2 has seen a succession of directors of fiction. Laurence Bachman is that we commissioned the series, but Clara Sheller began in the reign of Perry Fontaine. On leaving, the latter suggested that there might be a sequel, but not confirmed. It was therefore necessary to await the arrival of Jean Bigot to truly launch the machine ... But these are not solely responsible. There is only one author behind Clara Sheller , Nicolas Mercier . And write six episodes of 52 minutes is a big job, which took another year! Finally, one last year was necessary for preparation, filming and post production.
You never thought to hire several writers?
We tried to do, but it did not reveal fruitful. Clara Sheller , you know, it's a series of author, and Nicolas Mercier is well steeped in his characters. It was therefore difficult for other writers to adapt the tone of the series. Whenever Nicolas read their proposals, he could not help saying: "But Clara would never say that ... JP could not act like this ... " In fact, this series was not very shareable.

Yes, absolutely. It has also sold almost throughout Europe. And this year, with the second season, we even sold the remake rights to the Americans, there will be soon in the U.S. TV series inspired Clara Sheller .
